Three-Dimensional Metrology Laboratory

 

The three-dimensional measurement laboratory designs out new design programs and development activities for three-dimensional measurements, high-precision form and position deviations, computerized data and diagram acquisition and processing that meet customer requirements and applicable regulatory requirements.

The laboratory has a wide range of equipment for dimensional inspection such as:

NIKON Altera 10.10.08 automatic coordinate measuring machine

  • It has BRIDGE ceramic structure on air cushion motion for high thermal and high mechanical stability.
  • Flexible measurement sensor platform consisting of point-by-point contact probes, continuous contact scanning and laser scanning.
  • CAD analysis, control and interactive programming software.
  • Accuracy of 1.8 + L/400 microns and a repeatability of 1.7 microns for both contact and laser sensors.
  • Measuring area of 1016 x 1016 x 813 mm
Apps:
  • Dimensional evaluation for mechanically processed parts with tight tolerances.
  • Scan, small or thin-walled parts.
  • Digitization and reverse engineering.

ATOS 5M 3D Optical Scanner

  • 3D portable optical scanner for full measurement and inspection.
  • 3D image acquisition technology with narrowband blue light, 400-500nm.
  • Combines high-resolution scanning with wireless measurement via optically tracked touch sensor.
  • No. of points measured on a scan: 5 000 000 at a resolution of 2448 x 2050 pixels
  • 3 camera positions : SO / 300 / 500 corresponding to a measuring space of 30x30x40mm at 1200x900x900 mm
Apps:
  • Dimensional evaluation for mechanically processed parts with tight tolerances.
  • Scan, medium / small sized or thin-walled, parts.
  • Digitization and reverse engineering.

MCAx 20 Articulated 3D measuring arm in 7 axes

  • Hand held coordinate measuring arm with an active radius of 2 m.
  • Measuring system with point-by-point probe sensors and continuous laser scanning.
  • Magnetic fastening system or mechanical one with screws.
  • Accuracy of 0.020 microns
Apps:
  • Inspection of parts directly on the processing machine.
  • Inspection with CAD model.
  • Resurface surfaces for reverse engineering
  • Digitizing.

Coordinate measuring machine, DEA DELTA model 34.04

  • GANTRY metal structure on air cushion motion, for evaluation of large parts.
  • It has a graphical interactive programming system with CAD model (PC-DMIS software) with which to develop programs and methods of measuring complex geometric surfaces.
  • Measurement sensor Renishaw, point-to-point with contact probes.
  • Total axis imprecision : X ±0,030mm, Y ±0,025mm, Z ±0,010mm
  • Measuring area of 1.800 x 1.200 x 1.200 mm

  • Dimensional assessment for large, mechanically processed parts with medium tolerances

TALYROND 73 Taylor Hobson

It is a tool for measuring the high precision of the outer and inner profile of a round piece, even under the conditions of a discontinuous contour. Deviations from circularity, flatness, perpendicularity and concentricity in the same or different flats may also be measured.

  • Maximum outer diameter to measure: 355 mm
  • Maximum inner diameter to be measured: 355 mm
  • Minimum inner diameter to measure: 3 mm
  • Maximum permissible height of the part: 450 mm
  • Maximum permissible mass of the part: 68 kg
  • Imprecision of measuring instrument: radial: 8 measurement amplification steps with maximum inaccuracies: from 0.000025 mm to 0.00016 mm, axial: 0.00005 mm

Conventional high-precision measuring instruments

  • Inner micrometers for dimensions of 6 - 12 mm, accuracy 0.001 mm
  • Inner micrometers for dimensions of 20 - 50 mm, accuracy 0.001 mm
  • Exterior micrometers for dimensions 0 - 100 mm, accuracy 0.001 mm
  • Precision dial indicators, 0.001 mm.

The three-dimensional measurement laboratory had to measure unique complex parts and assemblies for airplane engines or to be mounted on the research stands of various partners such as SNECMA - France, TURBOMECA - France, the Central Institute for Aviation Engines in Moscow - Russian Federation, DLR - Germany.
