Results Presentation
At the end of the project we obtained the following results:
- We increase the quality of the laboratory?s activities by buying the latest equipments;
- We elaborated the working documentation (procedures, instructions) necessary to extend the laboratory accreditation;
- Team?s training (on national level, at RENAR and Bruel&Kjaer&UPB, and in France at 01dB METRAVIB) in two directions:
1. General requirements of the SR ISO 17025 standard, uncertainty estimation and interlaboratory comparison ;
2. Fundamental concepts regarding acoustics and vibrations, learn to use the new equipment and to process the dates using afferent software;
- The total estimated number of the laboratory team after the equipment acquisition was to be at least 7, between witch an important place should be taken by the young graduated students with good abilities in using the new measurements and analyze techniques. There ware hired 3 young graduated students, which during the project learned to use the equipment and the afferent soft, got involved in the accreditation process and more important they continued their studies by attending master and doctorate courses.
From the effects that we can really sense, the most important we consider to be the following:
- Improving the Laboratory Quality System;
- Increased the Acoustics and Vibrations Laboratory?s chances to access European and international research programs.

1. Method of measuring noise in industry
2. Method for determining the acoustic absorption coefficient and acoustic
impedantei
3. In situ measurements of noise and vibrations emitted by machinery and
equipment using a multichannel acquisition system
4. Method of measuring and assessing exposure to noise in work environment
5. Method for acoustic monitoring in order to realise the noisemap for
airports
